About

HarborBox started as a group chat where four friends kept sending each other screenshots of weird little games nobody else was talking about. At some point the chat got too long, so we turned it into a site. Nothing fancy, just a place to park our thoughts.

We focus on mobile, and mostly on indie or small-studio releases, because that's where the surprises live. The big polished franchises get covered everywhere. We'd rather dig up the quiet ones that deserve a second look.

Every game here gets played properly before we write a word. That usually means at least a few hours, sometimes a lot more if we can't put it down. We note the controls, the pacing, whether the thing respects your time, and how it feels after the novelty wears off.

We pick games based on curiosity and recommendations, not on who asked us nicely. If something bores us halfway through, we say so. The whole point is that you can trust what you read here.
