Casinacho Games: a week with a pocket mini-game collection

I didn't expect to write much about Casinacho Games. It looked like one of those breezy little collections you forget about by lunch. But a week later it was still on my home screen, so clearly something worked.

The format is simple: a carousel of short mini-games, each playable in a couple of minutes. Reaction timing, tile matching, a pattern memory game, that sort of thing. The controls are all taps and drags, nothing hidden behind menus, which is exactly what you want when you've got one hand free.

What kept me coming back was the best-run tracking. It's a small thing, but seeing my own score to beat turned idle taps into a tiny challenge. I started picking my favourite modes and genuinely trying to improve.

It's not a deep game and it doesn't pretend to be. The presentation is clean, the feedback is snappy, and it never nags you. As a five-minute filler it does its job better than a lot of bigger apps that want your whole evening.

If you like quick skill challenges with no setup, give it a try. Just know that its charm is in short bursts, not long sessions.
