Simulation
Sprout Street
★★★★☆ 4.2
Sprout Street is a gentle management sim where you nurse a sleepy block back to life. You plant gardens, open little shops and keep the residents happy, and it's all paced slowly enough to feel relaxing rather than demanding.
There's real planning under the cosy surface. Shops feed off foot traffic, gardens affect mood, and a bad layout quietly costs you. I found myself redesigning my main square three times just to get the flow right.
It never pushes you to rush. Timers exist but they're long and forgiving, and you can happily play in short bursts. It's the sort of game I leave running in the background of my life for weeks.
What we liked
- Relaxing, no-pressure pacing
- Layout choices that matter
- Charming, lived-in little town
